The demand for electricity has increased rapidly in Ethiopia. Renewable energy sources such as solar PV are being used to respond the power and cover a small percentage of country’s need. However, Ethiopia, where majority land is utilized agriculture, required generate large scale significant barrier. Big dams, Great Ethiopia’s Renaissance Dam, can be floating system eliminate need transmission infrastructure. Due its wider area covered by reservoir, which about 1,874,000,000 m2, potential renaissance dam needs investigated installation meet residential, commercial, industrial sectors In addition, cooling action water on allows it keep efficiency increase output from panels. this study, performance grid-connected systems was evaluated terms generation potential, ratio, capacity utilization factor, greenhouse gas emissions, conservation. consumption peoples living GERD site nearly 1 MW. Though they get through grid, study considers assessment MW FPV with intention covering hydropower station itself near rural communities. Modeling simulation proposed plant done help PVsyst software tool. Finally, analysis reveals that capability 18,740 maximum power, assessed system. benefits employing production, conservation, CO2 emission reduction, economic benefit demonstrated study. Furthermore, saves 54.4 million liters evaporation per year, Blue Nile’s downstream countries conserve their share water.
